The Powell River Fire Department will be taking part in the P.A.R.T.Y program next week.
Assistant Fire Chief Terry Peters says the goal is to show students what can happen when you drive impaired. He says P.A.R.T.Y stands for Prevention of Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth.
He says the program will have grade 11 students go through a hospital site and see the stages of an accident scene in a real-life scenario.
Peters says the goal is to encourage youth and adults to make smart choices.
