The Powell River Wellness Challenge is getting set to officially launch for this year.

Spokesperson Kerri Carlson says the goal is to encourage positive lifestyle choices and to put a focus on health and wellness. She says the project launches on April 21st and participants will be measured on 4 criteria: blood pressure, heart rate, flexibility, and balance.

Carlson says organizers are excited to launch the forum. Residents can be tested from April 22nd to May 30th at select locations throughout Powell River. You’ll be able to be re-measured in the fall at the Powell River Health Fair.
