New electrical upgrades to the Powell River Regional District Offices is working as expected.
A test of the new system was conducted on Friday.
Manager of Emergency Services, Ryan Thoms says the upgrades included a 60 kilowatt generator.
The generator is also mobile, so the RD says it could be used to potentially provide back-up power at other facilities in the region, if necessary.
