This summer will be a busy season for tourists in Powell River.
The BC Bike Race, Logger Sports and the PRISMA festival are just some of the events planned in the region.
Tracey Ellis, the manager of the Powell River Visitor Centre, says the number of visitors has a positive economic impact on the community.
Ellis says that even though the summer months will be busy, there’s a lot to see in the region year-round.
She notes that every dollar goes back into the community.
