Anglers must follow rules and regulations on the water

The BC Conservation Officer Service and Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC are making sure anglers obey all rules before heading out on the water.

Deputy Chief of the Conservation Service, Chris Doyle, says there are certain things anglers should check out before making a fishing trip.

Doyle notes that there are also “catch limits”, to make sure people aren’t catching fish they aren’t legally allowed to or keeping too many fish on-board. He adds that rules and regulations may be different depending on what body of water you’re fishing at.

Regulations can be found at sporting good stores as well as through the government of BC’s website.
