Its the end of the line for one of the most extensive searches ever carried out by Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue. Searchers were out this past weekend in the Castle Craig area of Strathcona Park, as specialized rope teams dropped down into trecherous mountain cracks and steep chutes, but that search came up empty.
We spoke with Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue spokesperson Paul Berry.
Berry thanks all those who supported the massive search operation earlier on, including community volunteers, aviation companies and Comox Valley RCMP. Campbell River search crews were also on board the search since day one.
