Today is the deadline for property taxes.
Powell River City Councillor Russell Brewer says it’s important to pay your taxes and claim your home owner grant before the deadline. He notes that you can visit the city’s website to apply for your homeowner grant.
Taxes not paid by the end of the day today will be hit with a 10% penalty.
Brewer says if you find yourself caught by the deadline, there are pre-payment options you can look at setting up for next year.
