Temporary road closure scheduled near ferry terminal in Powell River

A temporary road closure will be in effect during the week in the City of Powell River, starting today.

Crews are doing work related to the wastewater treatment plant, with the closure happening on Willingdon Ave between Courtenay and Burton Streets, near the ferry terminal.

According to the City, there is no access to these areas during the closures, except for local traffic, with those living in the affected residencies and BC Ferries having been notified about the work.

Along with a temporary closure at the intersection of Courtenay and Willingdon, traffic control personnel will be on-site while the work continues from the first ferry sailing in the morning till the last one in the evening.

The closure is expected to last until Friday March 17th.
