A manager of the qathet Regional District’s asset management and strategic initiatives has won an award for his work.
Arnold Schwabe recently won the Wally Wells Sustainable Service Delivery Champion Award, which is given to someone who demonstrates leadership and excellence in Asset management within their organization.
District Board Chair Clay Brander says the board congratulates Arnold for winning this award.
“By approaching common goals together with other asset management professionals, we bolster our approach to providing improved service delivery to our region and the province as a whole,” said Brander.
The district says he won the award for establishing the North Island/Sunshine Coast Asset Management Community of Practice, a group that focuses on coming up with ideas and solutions for common management issues.
Along with the group, he also made other resources for others across the province as a way to help them create their own communities of practice.
