Last day to vote on community-designed logo for museum

Today’s the last day to vote on a new logo for the qathet Museum and Archives in Powell River.

There are two options left for people to choose from. One design is by Grant Hooper, which features images representing the region including First Nations art, a moon snail shell, a bike sprocket, and leaves.

The other option is designed by Tina Furesz, and is more abstract. It is reminiscent of a medicine wheel, and uses many colours, and can be interpreted as a group of people in a circle.

The winner will be announced December 6. The top four finalists will all receive free, 1-year memberships to the Museum.

To cast your vote, visit the museum’s voting page.
