Delegates from across the province are getting set to head to the capital for the Union of BC Municipalities convention.
President of the Union of BC Municipalities, Al Richmond says the UBCM annual convention gets going in earnest on Monday.
Richmond says 177 resolutions are set to be up for debate with one of the top items being related to the distribution of marijuana and how the taxes collected from it can be shared with local governments.
The convention is also an opportunity for local elected officials to have an audience with provincial ministers and their staff.
The UBCM goes from September 26th to the 30th at the Victoria Conference Centre.
