Criticism for the Pacific Northwest LNG project

Criticism of the Pacific Northwest LNG project in British Columbia is coming in from both Federal opposition parties.

NDP leader Tom Mulcair says a natural gas pipeline doesn’t belong in the Great Bear Rainforest and believes it will be become a hot button issue of both the environment and aboriginal rights.

Meanwhile, Conservative interim leader Rona Ambrose says she wants to hear the Prime Minister say he’ll work with the Provincial government to get the project finished.

She doesn’t believe the feds went far enough in approving the deal. The project received Federal approval this week, but must meet almost 190 conditions before it can proceed.
