Powell River RCMP is investigating a fire in the alley behind the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Alberni Street.
They say Powell River Fire Rescue responded to a couch fire at 7:30 pm on April 4th.
RCMP is looking for any video surveillance from the area that might have captured the incident.
No one was injured during the incident, but power was cut off on that block due to melted wires.
