The city of Powell River has received funding for the Haslam water main project.
The city is getting $3.5 million from the Federal and Provincial governments for the project.
Mayor Dave Formosa says twinning the water main has been on the ‘want’ list for the city for quite a while. He notes they’ve applied for grants for this project in the past.
He says the city is thrilled about the project.
The city will now be putting out a request for proposals for the work.
