Ibuprofen tablets found in Halloween candy

Powell River RCMP is asking parents to check their kids’ Halloween candy.

Constable Kerri Chard says a young teen found 6 brown ibuprofen tablets in a package of Smarties. She notes it appears the small package had been resealed by an unknown person.

She says The teen had been trick-or-treating in the Maple Avenue area and on Manson Avenue in the Cranberry Avenue. Chard advises parents to thoroughly check their children’s candy, even going as far as to open the packages.

If you find anything suspicious, contact the RCMP detachment.
