Communication a key to success for BC Ferries

The Northern Sunshine Coast Ferry Advisory Committee says that communication is a key to success for BC Ferries.

Chair Kim Barton Bridges says at the group’s meeting this week – one of the issues they discussed was service disruptions related to the Queen of Burnaby in the summer.

She notes Ferries is taking a look at the schedule for its newest vessel. The Salish Orca is set to arrive by the end of this year and will service the Comox to Powell River route.

Barton Bridges says the company is thinking of expanding service to Texada Island.

She says Ferries will also look to improve how service notices are delivered to passengers.
