Powell River schools will likely have a new superintendent in fall.
This week the qathet School District announced that Dr. Jay Yule is leaving his position as school superintendent at the end of this school year. Yule has been with the district for more than 25 years, including 19 in his current role.
The school district says in a statement that Yule was involved in many initiatives that made a positive impact on student learning, and thanked him for his many contributions.
The district says it’s now looking for a new person to fill the role, and that it appreciates the community’s patience and support during the transition period.
