As the Martin Mars Hawaii takes its last flight, you can see it fly over the qathet Region this Sunday.
According to the City of Powell River, the aircraft will be flying over the region and the east coast of Vancouver Island as it makes its way to the BC Aviation Museum.
The flight, the last for the historic water bomber, comes ahead of the museum’s open house on August 17-18.
The iconic aircraft was used to fight fires for 55 years from 1960 to 2015.
The city says the plane can be seen on Sunday afternoon, between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.
