Expect to see smoke, as a wildfire has been discovered in the Saltery Bay area.
According to the Coastal Fire Centre, the fire was discovered on Sunday near Park Creek, currently at 0.63 hectares.
They say the fire is currently Under Control, meaning that the fire is expected to remain in the current perimeter.
The City of Powell River says while operations continue, you can expect to see smoke.
For what the cause was behind the fire, the Centre says it’s under investigation.
No other updates will be made unless conditions change.
