BC Hydro is warning users of a telephone scam making the rounds.
Spokesperson Mora Scott says scammers have been calling people claiming to be with the company.
The individuals threaten to cut power if a payment isn’t made immediately and request credit card information.
Scott says this is something they’ve dealt with in the past. She says there are a few things to know that could help you to avoid falling victim to the scam.
Scott notes that anyone with any concerns can contact BC Hydro for assistance.
