A community group wants public feedback about plans for a new supportive housing facility that’s in the works.
The Westview Ratepayers Society wants to gather public feedback so the society can present its formal position to BC Housing and city council in October.
The provincial agency and the city plan to build up to 43 supportive studio apartments and 20 shelter spaces to help local people transition out of homelessness. Some units will have complex care capabilities.
Lift Community Services will be the operator. The proposed site is next to the hospital parking lot off Joyce Avenue and is owned by the city.
Doors open for the Monday meeting at 6:30 pm, it will run until 9 pm at the Evergreen Theatre.
