A man was attacked on Saturday night by another man with a pipe, who threatened to kill him.
Powell River RCMP say that on September 21, at about a quarter to 11 pm, they responded to an assault on Joyce Avenue. The victim said he had been walking northbound on Joyce near the Quality Foods when another man stepped out of the woods and hit him in the arm with a pipe, making death threats. The victim told police he knew his attacker.
The suspect was identified and arrested for assault with a weapon and uttering threats, he has since been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
