Sailings between Powell River and Texada Island have been cancelled since this morning because of mechanical issues.
In a service notice, BC Ferries says sailings between Westview and Blubber Bay were cancelled all morning. The 3 pm sailing from Texada and the 3:45 from Powell River have also been cancelled while BC Ferries tries to fix the number two thruster on the Island Discovery.
BC Ferries is providing complimentary six-person and 12-person water taxis in the meantime, until further notice.
Travellers who booked in advance should contact BC Ferries for more information about getting refunds.
