Students are now better prepared to help save lives thanks to a new responder program.
Sandra Clarke with the ACT Foundation says the life-saving CPR and defibrillator training program has been launched in public secondary schools across the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

Clarke adds the program will ensure young people are empowered to save lives at school and outside in the community.
The ACT Foundation is working alongside BC Emergency Health Services, lead community partner RBC, and health partners AstraZeneca Canada, Pfizer Canada, and Sanofi Canada to get the program in every secondary school across the province.
