Transit service in Powell River will experience a service change this holiday season.
BC Transit has announced they will be changing their service for residents, with some days having no service available.
On Christmas Eve, regular service on routes 1, 2,3,9,12,13, and 14 will shut down early at 7:00 p.m., with the last runs set for 5:55 p.m. on Route 1, 5:54 p.m. on Route 2, and 6:30 p.m. for Route 3.
On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, Transit says there’s no service, with only routes 1, 2,3,9 getting Sunday/Holiday service on Thursday.
Starting on Friday service returns to normal, with it set to shut down early again at 7:00 p.m. on December 31 for only routes 1, 2,3,9.
They add there will be no service on New Years Day, with service coming back January 2.
