The Resource Recovery Centre is now taking marine debris, at the new Ocean Plastics Depot.
Marine plastics including old ropes, nets, and buoys can now be dropped off at the centre on Marine Road. However, no unscheduled drop-offs will be accepted, people need to e-mail ahead of time to schedule a drop-off.
The depot is a partnership between the qathet Regional District and the Ocean Legacy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending ocean plastic pollution around the world.
