There’s a drop-in session coming up next month to discuss the future of the Northside Community Recreation Centre.
Residents of the qathet Regional District near Lund who are interested in upgrade plans for the rec centre will want to mark February 11 on their calendars. Architects and representatives from Dawn Construction will be at the centre from 5 to 7 pm to provide information about the project, and answer questions from the public.
The centre was originally built in 1948 and has been upgraded several times. The new upgrades propose a major rebuild, to include a hall with space for up to 200 people, a half-court basketball gym, a commercial kitchen, and more.
