Several activities will be free this Family Day in Powell River.
The city announced that for the Powell River Recreation Complex, activities in the aquatics, gym, and ice are free for families to use on Monday.
For ice, Shinny for those aged 50 and above will run from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by Shinny for those between the ages of 13 and 16 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
They say for those aged 12 and under, Shinny will run from 1:15 p.m to 2:30 p.m. The ice rink will be open to all starting at 2:00 p.m., wrapping up at 4:00 p.m.
For the gym, you can drop-in anytime from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
For aquatics, lanes and leisure will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the pool opening to everyone at 1:00 p.m., running until 4:00 p.m.
