You can offer your feedback on transit planning in Powell River through a survey.
On Tuesday, BC Transit, City of Powell River, and qathet Regional District launched an online survey, one that goes over a new vision for city routes in the qathet region and priorities for routes 12, 13, and 14.
It’s part of a project where Transit, the city, district, and Tla’amin Nation are making a transit plan. The plan will guide changes and improvements in Powell River’s transit system for the next 1 to 7 years.
They say along with the survey, you can also chat with Transit staff in 6 different open houses on Monday and Tuesday next week.
For Monday, two open houses will take place at Tla’amin Health Centre at 2:00 p.m., and the Powell River Town Centre near the transit exchange at 6:30 p.m.
The remaining open houses run on Tuesday in the lower lobby of the Recreation Complex at 9:00 a.m., qathet General Hospital at 11:30 a.m., Town Centre Mall near the transit exchange at 2:30 p.m., and again at the General Hospital at 6:00 p.m. respectively.
They add feedback from the survey and open houses will be used to help build the plan, with a draft version to be provided to city council, the regional district and Nation later this summer.
You have until June 22 to fill the survey.
