The peak summer season is now behind us, but for the most part, warm, dry conditions continue. Marg Drysdale at the Coastal Fire Centre says they’re keeping a close watch on the region’s conditions.
Drysdale says overall our region dodged a bullet on any major forest fire activity over the summer months.
The Coastal Fire Centre recently pulled the plug on their sweeping campfire ban for the South Coast.
