Missing Newfoundland woman may be on Vancouver Island

RCMP are asking people on Vancouver Island to watch for a missing Newfoundland woman who investigators believe may have travelled to British Columbia.

Christina Ginn, 29, of Newfoundland and Labrador, was last heard from sometime around Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Police said they have reason to believe Ginn may be somewhere on Vancouver Island, although it is also possible she remains in Newfoundland and Labrador. They and Ginn’s loved ones are concerned for her safety and well-being.

Ginn is described as slender and approximately five-foot-eight. She has strawberry-blond hair, blue eyes and tattoos on her hands and wrists.

Anyone who sees Ginn or has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact their local police service or the Gander RCMP detachment at 709-256-6841.

People wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), visit www.nlcrimestoppers.com or use the P3 Tips app.
