Every Child Matters Peace Walk in Powell River Wednesday

Powell River will mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Wednesday with an Every Child Matters Peace Walk.

The walk begins at 2 p.m. at the Dwight Hall parking lot and heads to Willingdon Beach.

The event will result in temporary road closures in the area, including Marine Drive and Highway 101.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is observed each year on Sept. 30 to honour survivors and the children who never returned home.
