These were all seen at City Council last week, after a record 7 hour Comittee of the Whole came to a close. The cause? Finally getting to the bottom of the potential library location in Powell River.

After much deliberation, the Willingdon South location is no longer the preferred site, and the city is moving forward with the Crossroads Village group proposal for a library at the former Brick location…

The exact wording of the referendum question is as follows: “Are you in favour of the City of Powell River adopting Crossroads Village New Library Loan Authorization Bylaw 2391, 2014, to authorize the borrowing of a sum not to exceed three and one half million dollars (3,500,000) over a maximum term of 30 years, for the purpose of building a new municipal public library at Crossroads Village at 4801 Joyce Avenue?”
