The Powell River Regional District is adding some new positions to its ranks.
RD Chair Patrick Brabazon says 8 new positions have been created, with 4 spots being filled internally.
Brabazon says the other 4 positions will be filled by new employees.
“We’re growing in response to the fact that the province is downloading more and more responsibilities on local governments. It’s not just us, it’s right across the province so we have to adapt…we have to serve the people.”
Brabazon says once the internal hires are done, interested applicants will be able to throw their hat in the ring for the new positions at the regional district.
