A fundraising auction is being held Saturday to raise money to sponsor a Syrian refugee family.
It’s taking place in the empty video store, across from Tim Hortons.
Spokesperson Roland Lewis says the viewing starts at 9, with the live auction starting at 10.
Lewis says the family is being privately sponsored by the Pentecostal Church.
It will take about 40-thousand dollars to sponsor the family and bring them to Powell River.
