A Marine Avenue man will be appearing in court, after police say he assaulted a driver whose car broke down in front of his house.
On May 3, after his car broke down, the driver backed into a driveway off Marine Avenue to get out of the way and was having trouble moving forward. He called his son to help him get it started again.
Police say while the driver was attempting to get the vehicle out of the driveway, the homeowner allegedly ran out of the house with a baseball bat, attempted to pull the driver from the vehicle and threatened to hit him with the bat.
The homeowner was arrested for assault with a weapon and uttering threats and released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
