Powell River RCMP are investigating a drowning incident on Savary Island.
Police say on June 30 at around 8 a.m., they responded to a report of a drowning near the barge terminal on the island, where they identified the person as a 29-year-old woman.
The woman’s family has been notified.
They are conducting an investigation with the BC Coroners service but add the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious and there is no concern for public safety.
