City council is scheduled to decide Thursday whether or not to allow a 60-unit townhouse project to go ahead, with an increased height limit.
The project, in the works for several years, proposes to create the new community on Manson Avenue, just south of 5201 Manson. The four-and-a-quarter acre site is currently vacant and has been cleared in anticipation of development.
Council has been discussing the proposed development since 2022 and last year changed zoning bylaws to ensure the development would be compliant.
The development calls for 12 buildings, with five townhouse units in each, to be built in phases and stratified on completion.
The development permit before council Thursday night also includes a variance for a maximum height of 9.3 metres.
