You can share feedback on City’s 2025 budget online

You can share some input on Powell River’s budget in 2025 by using an online tool.

The City is putting together their 2025-2029 Financial Plan and 2025 budget, with staff having presented the first draft to council on the December 3 Committee of the Whole Meeting.

In the draft, property tax increase would go up by 11.4 percent, bringing a total of $27 million in property taxes for next year’s budget.

To get community feedback, they have launched Balancing Act, an online tool where you can build your own city budget.

They say the goal of this tool is to share your priorities and feedback on the budget to the City, which will be used to guide decisions on how they can allocate funds to the community.

Along with the tool, you can share what city services you value the most, and which ones you think are high or low priority in a new survey.
