POWELL RIVER, B.C.-The Powell River Regional District says its online mapping tool has gotten better. It’s been improved with a new look and better functionality.
The service has been available since 2013 through the Comox Valley Regional District’s iMap platform.
Since then common browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Safari no longer support the program that was used to originally program iMap. This newer version supports all PC browsers, Mac browsers and is also mobile friendly.
The entire regional district, including the City of Powell River, is covered by the map. It lets you see property information like house numbers, electoral boundaries, property lines, and more.
It also includes aerial imagery from last year, making what’s available to view on the map much greater than what’s been available previously. You can see the map for yourself at the Powell River Regional’s District website.
