Search underway for missing rescue dog

UPDATE: Princess has been found.

POWELL RIVER, B.C. – A rescue dog is missing in Powell River.

Sherri Wiebe told MyPowellRiverNow.com that Princess, a four-year-old Brussels griffon went missing on Wednesday, November 7th.

Princess is a rescue dog that Wiebe recently picked up from Abbotsford.

“We never made it home before she bolted and has no idea where her home is,” Wiebe said.

“We have hundreds of people searching on foot the past few days but the last sighting was on Thursday afternoon running by River City Coffee down into the subdivision…nothing since.”

Wiebe said it’s been a very stressful past few days.

“We only got to know her for 7 hours, but I did bond with her,” she said.

“She could be anywhere by now and we are all sick over this. It would be a different story if she ran away from home, but she did not make it home, so we can’t sit at home and wait.”

Anyone who spots Princess (pictured above), or has any further details, can contact Wiebe at (604) 483-6733.
