Daylight Saving Time comes to an end this weekend. Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before heading to bed on Saturday.
And as the clocks fall back this weekend, local fire departments are reminding residents to change the batteries in smoke detectors, and take a look at the carbon monoxide detectors.
Firefighter Jonathon Welsh says wired-in smoke detectors should also have a battery back-up. He says if yours does not, it’s time to upgrade.
Welsh says the time change is also a good reminder to get your chimney cleaned in preparation for the colder weather.
