New bus service is in the works to link the upper and lower Sunshine Coast with Vancouver.
The previous bus service ceased operations last fall. Councillor Maggie Hathaway says the lack of service has had a huge impact on residents.
Hathaway notes that a bus connection to Vancouver is a much-needed service for the community, especially for those needing to travel for medical appointments.
Hathaway says MLA Nicholas Simons helped to get approval for the new service.
Hathaway says they are hoping the new service will be up and running next month.
