A Powell River man’s vehicle has been impounded following an impaired driving incident.
On Monday at 9:34 pm, an officer with Powell River RCMP was conducting patrols on Westview Avenue and spotted a vehicle failing to signal and swerving towards the center line of the road.
After stopping the vehicle, police talked to the 38-year-old driver and found that the man was currently prohibited from driving.
They also found him showing signs of impairment, resulting in the driver being issued a 90-day driving prohibition for impaired driving, and the vehicle has been impounded for 30 days.
They add the man got an appearance notice to attend court for driving while prohibited.
