Fire crews are investigating the cause of a structure fire south of Powell River. It broke out Wednesday morning.
Manager of Emergency Services with the Powell River Regional District, Ryan Thoms, says two buildings were involved. He says it was in the Malaspina Volunteer Fire Department service area. Powell River Fire crews assisted in putting out the blaze.
It took several hours to get the fire out and RCMP were detouring traffic while crews worked.
Investigators are now looking for the cause.
