As people get ready for Easter weekend, the city of Powell River has events for you to celebrate the holiday.
The Powell River Town Centre will hold a free event, where there will be story time, games, giveaways, crafts, and visits from the Easter Bunny.
It runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The centre will be open on Easter Monday during regular hours.
While the recreation complex will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, it is open on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
On the ice rink, they will have a 50-plus shinny from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed by an everyone welcome skate from 11:30 to 2 p.m. on Friday.
For easter Monday, they will have Shinny 13 to 16 from 10 to 11:15 a.m., shinny 12 and under from 11:30 to 12:45 p.m., parent and child hockey between 11:45 and 1 p.m., and an everyone welcome skate from 1 to 3.
On both days, the Aquatics centre and gym will open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
