Texada Island RCMP are currently investigating an arson incident at a local park.
Police say on April 15 at 3:30 p.m., they got the report from a Shelter Point Regional Park caretaker, who says the outhouse in overflow camp 2 had been set on fire.
The outhouse was smoldering and was reduced to rubble, according to police.
They say this is the second outhouse that’s been destroyed, following a similar incident from last summer.
If you have any information on the incident, they ask you to call Texada Island RCMP at 604-486-7717 or Powell River RCMP at 604-485-6255.
