Incident at Island RCMP Detachment Under Investigation

The Independent Investigations Office confirms an investigation is getting underway into an incident involving the North Cowichan-Duncan RCMP.

No details are available, but the incident took place at the RCMP detachment on Canada Avenue early this morning.

Canada Avenue is currently closed to traffic at Sherman Road, and at Philip Street.

The IIO says it will release more details on the incident this morning.
