Students back in class at VIU

Students are back in class at Vancouver Island University’s Powell River campus today.

Campus Administrator Greg Cran says one of the changes that has been brought in this semester is a return of continuing education courses.

He says there was a big demand for the courses from the community. He says the school is looking to become a destination for students outside the area.

Cran says enrollment is up this year and they are looking forward to a positive year on campus.
