The Stuff the Trailer campaign has started in Powell River.
Coast FM has teamed up with City Transfer and Safeway for the Stuff the Trailer campaign. The goal of the campaign is to fill a 36-foot trailer with food.
Powell River RD board chair Patrick Brabazon says hunger is not just an issue around the holidays.
Fire Chief Terry Peters says food bank donations are appreciated year-round.
Brabazon says this is a great way to help the less fortunate. He notes poverty is a prevalent issue in the region.
Peters says the food bank is a cause near and dear to everyone’s hearts within the community. Donations can be dropped off at Safeway until the 16th.
